OUR SUSTAINABILITY STORY

OUR VALUES

Since our beginning, Kimete Dida has aimed to prove that luxury and responsible practice can coexist. We do it in three foundational ways:

Responsible Materials & Sourcing

We choose fibers with integrity. Natural cotton, wool, and silk form the heart of our collection, sourced in Italy and Europe with traceable provenance. When durability and performance demand it, we incorporate recycled polyester remade, not new. Wherever possible, we include carefully selected natural worm based elements, used with respect and purpose.

Handcrafted Quality

Every piece is made-to-order, not mass produced. We partner with small ateliers in Italy and Albania to keep our scale intimate and oversight tight. Our garments undergo fit testing, hand inspections, and quality control to ensure they age beautifully and wear meaningfully.

Transparency & Care for People

We believe the story behind a garment matters as much as how it looks. Our makers are part of our team, some with formal training, others upskilling into craft roles. We manage production hand-to-hand, not through distant intermediaries. We regularly audit, train, and support craftsmanship, always striving for more openness and integrity.

Handmade embroidery

Every bead that goes onto a Kimete Dida gown is placed with intention. The embroidery is done entirely by hand, and each bead is then carefully hand-stitched into the fabric. This process takes time and skill, but it ensures that every gown carries the mark of true craftsmanship and individuality.
